Extensor Geometrico presents „Non Disclosure Agreement #3”, a sculpture by Marco Cassani. The title, borrowed from the language of legal contracts that safeguard confidentiality, points to an implicit agreement between artist and audience – a silent acknowledgment of shared trust and secrecy.
This idea of tacit exchange is echoed in the material of the work itself. Composed of approximately 10.000 wish coins, NDA #3 emerges from Cassani’s long-term practice. Since 2014, he has collected the inner fragments of coins – residual matter from his ongoing „Fountain” series – and systematically bound them together with thread to form a semicircular curtain.
The repetitive act of binding connects process to ritual. Much like the Catholic rosary, where prayer is guided bead by bead, Cassani’s method produces a rhythm that is meditative and laborious. In this sense, NDA #3 is not only a sculptural object but also a durational practice in which devotion, repetition, and reflection converge to question how value is constructed.
This concern with value extends to the very gesture that gave rise to the material. Tossing a coin into water is a deeply personal act, yet it takes place in a shared, often sacred space. By reassembling these fragments, the sculpture examines the tension between the intimate wish and the communal ritual.
The origins of the coins further anchor the work in cultural practice. Collected from sacred fountains in Bali – where locals and visitors cast them as offerings to the gods and expressions of personal desire – they embody countless intimate gestures. Gathered and reconfigured, these fragments no longer vanish into water but instead form a tangible record of shared belief and cultural practice.

Marco Cassani (b. 1981, Milan) is an artist based in Bali, Indonesia. His work has been presented at Honold Fine Art (Bali); Studio Kalahan (Yogyakarta); Lucie Fontaine (Milan) and its satellite space in Tokyo; Semarang Gallery (Semarang, Indonesia); OFCA International (Yogyakarta, Indonesia); NOME (Berlin); ArtStage (Singapore); and V-Room (Bali).
In parallel with his artistic practice, Cassani has initiated numerous “situations” – including Kayu, Lucie Fontaine’s branch in Bali, VAPRICO, and Project Etere – through which art functions as a catalyst for rethinking the construction of value.
Cassani studied painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, was an artist-in-residence at Cittadellarte by Fondazione Pistoletto in Biella, Italy, and has served as a guest lecturer at Melbourne University, Australia.

SABOT’s outpost, Extensor Geometrico, is a modular, mobile metal-frame exhibition space created by Radu Comșa, now temporarily situated in the garden of D’institute, a dentistry studio in Cluj-Napoca.
While it does not directly reference earlier architectural experiments, Extensor Geometrico resonates with a lineage of modernist and conceptual precedents: from Jean Prouvé’s modular houses, Le Corbusier’s Cabanon and Esprit Nouveau, or Mies van der Rohe’s Farnsworth House, which brought structure into close relation with its natural setting, to Martin Kippenberger’s MOMAS and Elmgreen & Dragset’s Prada Marfa, both of which questioned the institutional and geographic framing of art.
Comșa’s structure absorbs these precedents without quoting them, serving as an adaptable pavilion that can host exhibitions while also becoming an art object in itself – one that sits unapologetically between architecture and sculpture.
