Între 13 și 19 septembrie, Instituția Performance-ului va veni la Casa Tranzit, în Cluj.
Instituția speculativă a Performance-ului – aproximată în termeni de tipul aurală, acustică, reflexivă, auto-generată și a cărei rațiune este exersarea unui soi de speranță/a unui sentiment de apartenență la ceva vast, în mișcare și care ajută la respirație – această instituție poetică are bucuria de a fi găzduită de clădirea generoasă în toate sensurile a fostei sinagogi Poale Tzedek îngrijite și celebrate, de mai bine de 25 de ani, de centrul independent de artă și de cultură contemporană Casa Tranzit.

Proiectul Instituția Performance-ului chestionează lipsa unei astfel de instituții dedicate și pledează pentru performance-ul înțeles ca un mod de gândire și acțiune în realitate – de descifrare și regândire a propriilor condiționări, mai ales cele de tip precaritate nesfârșită (prin asocierea cu ideea de procesualitate, de exemplu), de reimaginare a felului în care ne putem fi resurse reciproce fără abuz, de readucere a noțiunilor de prezență, corp și experiență în conversația privind relația dintre artă și realitate, sau de reevaluare a dimensiunii politice a artei odată cu necesitatea tot mai urgentă de a învăța noi și noi moduri de a susține linia orizontului, pentru ca cerul să nu se prăbușească peste noi.

10 artiști și artiste, din București, cu practici situate la marginea sau intersecția mai multor medii artistice, lansează o invitație scenelor diverse din Cluj – cea literară, cea de arte vizuale, de dans, de teatru și de performance – care ar putea rezona cu unii dintre artiștii din proiect, sau cu însăși ideea rezonanță ca mod de comunicare între mai multe practici, procese și situări artistice și potențialul acestui tip de gândire performativă de a identifica, reimagina și institui relații noi între noi și între peisajele noastre interioare și cele exterioare.
Uneori orizontul e multiplu și nu se află întotdeauna în exterior.

Instituția performance-ului care vine la Cluj este formată din: Eliza Trefaș, Florin Flueraș, Andreea David (dans, performance), Cosmina Moroșan, Anticorp Solar, Kira Valentina, Adriana Gheorghe (literatură, performance, sunet/voce), Alina Grau, Alini Medoia (teatru), Giles Eldridge (arte vizuale). Lor li se adaugă Mihai Iepure-Gorski (artist vizual din Cluj).

Proiectul se întinde pe o durată de 5 luni de zile, presupune 2 festivaluri (Festival de Performance de Cameră, în iunie, și Repetiție pentru o instituție a performance-ului, în octombrie), un call de rezidențe artistice, un turneu la Cluj, invitați internaționali cu workshop-uri de formare atât profesională, cât și a unui mod de a fi împreună cu contururi poroase – o societate temporară, fără a ne defini din exterior ca grup sau colectiv, fără consens și care încurajează reformularea și diferența, urmărind o chemare mai mult sau mai puțin interioară.

Instituția are câțiva parametrii de bază, patru teme proiectate ca metode – Dragostea, Peisajul, Odihna și Corul.

Activitățile Instituției performance-ului sunt gândite ca activități care sunt posibile într-o cameră de 16 mp, spațiul Teatre de pe Schitu Măgureanu 21, “sediul” instituției, studioul artistei Adriana Gheorghe, deschis oricui dorește să cerceteze performance-ul, ca un gest de generozitate radicală cu scopul de a produce schimbare minimală – modificând cât de puțin condițiile date.
Lor li se adaugă activități care sub nicio formă nu sunt posibile într-o cameră de 16 mp, ci doar în alianță cu instituții “reale”, cum ar fi teatre și galerii partenere, care se lasă permeate.

Metoda la care ne-am gândit este rezonanța între practicile artistice. Iar prin rezonanță încercăm să exersăm alte moduri de a asculta, de a acorda atenție și de a răspunde.
Cum arată dragostea înțeleasă ca metodă de (auto-)instituire? Dar peisajul? Odihna? Corul?
Cum se poate rezona cu un spațiu-gazdă „golit care își dorește să fie reumplut cu conținuturi tranzitorii în permanență, dând ocazia reinterpretărilor continue ale modelelor de conviețuire posibile”.

Invitația de a vă întâlni cu noi este implicit o invitație de a vă întâlni între voi. Performance-ul poate fi o gazdă bună. Din toate unghiurile, de văzut, de încercat, de discutat.

Spațiul Teatre își propune să contureze un teren prielnic pentru nevoi și preocupări acute comune sau divergente, să aducă împreună dimensiunile politicului, filosofiei, biografiei, somaticului și, nu în cele din urmă, dimensiunea artistică la intersecția mai multor convenții și scene, fără a le reprezenta și doar prin experimentarea și activarea lor.

Printre artiștii invitați să facă parte din Instituție se numără Alix Eynaudi (FR/Viena), Krõõt Juurak (ES/Viena), Irena Tomažin (Slovenia), Margrét Sara Guðjónsdóttir (IS/Bruxelles), Sergiu Matiș (RO/Berlin), Siegmar Zacharias (RO/Berlin), Snejanka Mihaylova (Sofia), Alex Bailey (UK/Viena), Caroline Salmon (Scoția) ș.a.

Instituția performance-ului (iunie–octombrie) este un program curatoriat de artista Adriana Gheorghe, produs de Teatre în colaborare cu PETEC și co-finanțat de AFCN. Proiectul nu reprezintă în mod necesar poziţia Administrației Fondului Cultural Național. AFCN nu este responsabilă de conținutul proiectului sau de modul în care rezultatele proiectului pot fi folosite. Acestea sunt în întregime responsabilitatea beneficiarului finanțării.

Az auratikusság, akusztikusság, önreflexivitás és öngenerálás fogalmaival körülírható Performansz Intézménye olyan spekulatív művészetet képvisel, amelynek célja egyfajta remény, valami tágabb, mozgásban lévő értelemhez való hovatartozás érzésének a megjelenítése, amely segít friss lélegzethez jutni. Ennek a költői intézménynek abban a megtiszteltetésben van része, hogy a Poale Tzedek zsinagóga épületében mutatkozhat be, egy olyan helyszínen, amely több mint 25 éve otthont ad egy kortárs és független művészeti és kulturális központnak, a Tranzit Háznak.

A Performansz Intézménye projekt pontosan az ilyen intézmények hiányára kérdez rá, miközben a performansz művészetet egy gondolkodási módként és cselekvésként értelmezi – saját helyzetünk megfejtésének és újragondolásának módjaként, különös figyelmet szentelve a végeláthatatlan prekaritásnak (például a processzualitás fogalmával való társítás révén). Ezen túl a társas kapcsolatok újragondolását javasolja annak érdekében, hogy ezek erőforrásként szolgáljanak a számunkra, hogy abúzus és visszaélések nélkül viszonyulhassunk egymáshoz. Továbbá, a jelenlét, a test és a tapasztalat fogalmainak visszahozását célozza a művészetről és valóságról alkotott diskurzusokba. Fontosnak tartja a művészet politikai szerepének újragondolását, mivel egyre sürgetőbb szükségét látjuk új módszerek elsajátítására annak érdekében, hogy a horizontvonalat meg tudjuk tartani és az ég ne szakadjon ránk.

Tíz bukaresti művész, akiknek munkássága több művészeti ág metszéspontján helyezkedik el, felhívást intéz Kolozsvár művészeihez – irodalmárokhoz, képzőművészekhez, táncosokhoz, vagy performanszművészekhez –, akik rezonálnak a projektben részt vevő alkotókkal, vagy magával a rezonancia, mint művészeti gyakorlat, folyamat és helyzet közötti kommunikációs módként való elgondolásával, amely új utakat nyithat meg a belső és külső tájaink felfedezéséhez.

Néha a horizont többszörös, és nem mindig kívül található.

A Kolozsváron fellépő performansz intézmény tagjai: Eliza Trefaș, Florin Flueraș, Andreea David (tánc, performansz), Cosmina Moroșan, Vlad Anticorp Solar, Kira Valentina, Adriana Gheorghe (irodalom, performansz, hang), Alina Grau, Alini Medoia (színház), Giles Eldridge (képzőművészet). A projekt öt hónapig tart, magában foglal két fesztivált (a júniusi Kamaraelőadások Fesztiválját és az októberi Performansz Intézmény próbáját), egy felhívást, amelynek célja a színészek közötti együttműködés ösztönzése, egy turnét Kolozsváron, illetve nemzetközi vendégeket által tartott szakmai műhelyeket. Mindez lehetővé teszi egy ideglenes társadalom kialakítását, amely magát nem csoportként, vagy kollektívaként határozza meg, amelyben nincs konszenzus, és amely ösztönzi és fontosnak tartja a különbözőséget, többé-kevésbé egy önálló és belülről érkező felhívást követve.

Az intézmény rendelkezik pár alapszabállyal, négy téma képzi a módszertana alapját – a Szerelem, a Táj, a Pihenés, és a Kórus.

A Performansz Intézményének tevékenységét úgy tervezték, hogy azok egy 16 négyzetméteres térségben meg tudjanak valósulni, az intézmény „székhelyén”, a Schitu Măgureanu 21 szám alatt, Adriana Gheorghe művész stúdiójában. Ez a tér a radikális nagylelkűség gesztusaként mindenki számára nyitva áll, aki szeretné felfedezni a performanszot azzal a céllal, hogy minimális változást hozzon létre a megadott feltételek lehető legkisebb mértékű megváltoztatásával. Ehhez társulnak még azok a tevékenységek, amelyek egy 16 négyzetméteres helyiségben semmiképpen sem valósíthatók meg, csak „valódi” intézményekben, partner színházakkal és galériákkal való együttműködésben, amelyek lehetővé teszik az átjárást.

Hogyan gondolható el a szerelem, mint az (ön)képzés módszertana? És a táj? A pihenés? A kórus?
Hogyan lehet rezonálni egy olyan befogadó térrel, amely „üres és folyamatosan változó tartalommal kíván feltöltődni, fenntartva a konvenciók folyamatos újraértelmezésének a lehetőségét”?

A meghívás, hogy találkozzatok velünk egy implicit meghívás arra is, hogy egymással találkozzatok. A performansz jó házigazdája lehet ennek. Annak, hogy együtt lássunk, kísérletezzünk, vitatkozzunk.

A Teatre tér célja, hogy teret biztosítson az eltérő nézőpontoknak annak érdekében, hogy metszéspontokat képezzen a politika, a filozófia, az életrajz, a szomatikus és végül, de nem utolsó sorban a művészet között anélkül, hogy reprezentálná ezeket.

A Performance Intézmény (június–október) egy Adriana Gheorghe művész által kurált program, amelyet a Teatre a PETEC-kel együttműködésben készített, és az AFCN társfinanszírozott. A projekt nem feltétlenül tükrözi a Nemzeti Kulturális Alap Igazgatóságának álláspontját. Az AFCN nem felelős a projekt tartalmáért, sem a projekt eredményeinek felhasználásáért. Ezért teljes mértékben a finanszírozás kedvezményezettje felel.

The Institution of Performance project interrogates the lack of such a dedicated institution and advocates for performance as a way to think and act in reality—to decipher and rethink one’s own conditioning, especially the ones that have to do with endless precarity (by association with the idea of process, for example), reimagining a way to act as resources for one another without abusing ourselves, bringing the topics of presence, body, and experience back into the conversation about the relationship between art and reality, or the political dimension of art and the ever more urgent necessity to learn new ways of supporting the horizon so that the sky doesn’t fall on top of us.

10 artists from Bucharest with practices situated at the intersection between multiple artistic mediums are issuing an invitation to the diverse scenes in Cluj—literary, visual, dance, theatre, and performance—that may resonate with some of the artists involved in the project or with the idea of resonance as a channel of communication between multiple practices, processes, and artistic positions, and with the potential of this kind of performative thinking to identify, reimagine, and institute new relationships between us and between our inner and outer landscapes.
Sometimes the horizon is multiple and it isn’t always exterior.

The Institution of Performance that is traveling to Cluj is formed by: Eliza Trefaș, Florin Flueraș, Andreea David (dance, performance), Cosmina Moroșan, Anticorp Solar, Kira Valentina, Adriana Gheorghe (literature, performance, sound/voice), Alina Grau, Alini Medoia (theatre), Giles Eldridge (visual art). Joining them will be Mihai Iepure-Gorski (a visual artist from Cluj).

The project spans 5 months and includes 2 festivals, a call for artist residencies, a tour in Cluj, international guests leading workshops on professional training, as well as a way of being porous—a temporary society that doesn’t define itself from the outside as a group or collective, without consensus, nurturing reformulation and difference, pursuing a more or less inner calling.

As base parameters, the institution has 4 pillars, four themes that double as methods—Love, Landscape, Rest, and the Choir.

The activity of the Institution of Performance is conceived as a series of possibilities within the bounds of a 16 sqm room, the Teatre/Theatres space on Schitu Măgureanu 21, the “base camp” of the institution and the studio of artist Adriana Gheorghe, open to anyone who wishes to explore performance, as a gesture of radical generosity meant to trigger minimal change by modifying the given conditions as little as possible.
It also includes activities that could never take place in a 16 sqm room, but only thanks to alliances with “real” institutions like partnering theatres and galleries which allow themselves to be permeated.

The method we envision is resonance between artistic practices. Through resonance, we try to practice new ways of listening, paying attention, and responding to each other. What could love mean as a (self-)instituting method? What about landscape? Rest? Choir? How can we resonate with a host-space that has been “emptied, that wishes to be perpetually refilled with transitory content, offering a chance to continuously reinterpret possible ways of living togather”. The invitation to meet us is, implicitly, also an invitation to meet each other. Performance can be a good host. From every angle, to see, try, discuss.

The Teatre/Theatres space aims to outline a fertile ground for acute needs and concerns, whether shared or diverging, to bring together the political, philosophical, biographical, and somatic dimensions, and, last but not least, the artistic dimension as it intersects a variety of conventions and scenes without representing them, but only experiencing and activating them.

The guest artists that took part in the Institution of Performance include Alix Eynaudi (FR/Vienna), Krõõt Juurak (ES/Vienna), Irena Tomažin (Slovenia), Margrét Sara Guðjónsdóttir (IS/Brussels), Sergiu Matiș (RO/Berlin), Siegmar Zacharias (RO/Berlin), Snejanka Mihaylova (Sofia), Alex Bailey (UK/Vienna), Caroline Salmon (Scotland), among others.

The Institution of Performance (June-October) is a program curated by artist Adriana Gheorghe, produced by Teatre/Theatres in collaboration with PETEC and co-financed by AFCN.
