„Dan Dediu’s music inspired me to create a world where bodies (women, men, couples, groups) evolve into a scenographic space, created by Viorica Petrovici. The coregraphy traverses the idea that every dancer represents a complex geometry of the body, contained into a certain type of spatial mathematics (structures, shapes, symbols) and is materialized through a group of accesory-metaphors. This is a play throigh which I want to bring on stage, with the help of a language that is my own, fragments of an imaginary world situated right here, somewhere between Earth and Heaven, between homeland and a piece of heaven.” – Gigi Căciuleanu

🎼 Concept:
The journey of each one of us towards our other half truly begins at the moment of… separation. When the sphere in which, as in a Plato-imagined nest, the couple was meant to live in eternal embrace, is broken. And the two are thrown out into the world, each to – and with – his fate.
From this moment, the quest begins.
In order to succeed, they must overcome obstacles, confrontations with others, with the Elements, with personal fantasies…
Wielded by the sorcerer’s wand of a sort of an omnipresent Joker; a sort of “tester” with whom in fact, in one guise or another, at one time or another, we all face: the chameleonic “NOTONLYONE”.
When, as in fairy tales, the two meet again, the “planet” ONIRIUS appears on the horizon as a natural and long-awaited refuge. A sphere, where they are sure to find the warmth of that primordial embrace that they were about to lose.
The show ”ONIRIUS” proposes a parable; sometimes a parting, sometimes an intersection of initiatory paths. A series of attempts at the end of which it is not only a question of rediscovering one’s other half, but also of rediscovering oneself. And for the audience, to let their imagination run wild. To dream…
