In the year that marks the 40th anniversary of his unofficial debut at the Costinești Jazz Festival (at the invitation of Garbis Dedeian, who would later on become his teacher), saxophonist Iordache is planning a series of more special concerts.

These will include compositions from the 8 albums on which he appears as a leader, and several from the upcoming album, which will conclude a triptych dedicated to the Titan neighborhood (the first two were Suite Titan and Zeuții – based on poems by Florin Dumitrescu).

The concert is called ”Spaces” after a very important concept in jazz, namely that of leaving free spaces, where improvisation „can breathe”.

Alongside Iordache will be Sorin Romanescu, improvising guitarist and currently one of the big names of the Romanian jazz scene, Aram Shelton (USA) – improviser, composer, saxophonist and electronic artist with roots in the creative scenes of Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area who brings with him the refinement of American free-jazz, Gabi Matei, a drummer of great strength and musicality, very present on the European jazz scene and bassist Ionuț Deliu, known for his collaborations with various jazz and pop artists.

[RO] În anul când se împlinesc 40 de ani de la debutul său neoficial la Festivalul de Jazz de la Costinești (la invitația lui Garbis Dedeian, care avea să-i devină profesor) saxofonistul Iordache are în plan o serie de concerte mai speciale.

Acestea vor cuprinde compoziții de pe cele opt albume pe care apare ca lider, și câteva de pe viitorul album, care va încheia un triptic dedicat cartierului Titan (primele două au fost Suita Titan și Zeuții – după poeme de Florin Dumitrescu).

Concertul se numește Spaces – “spații” – după un concept foarte important în muzica de jazz, și anume acela de a lăsa locuri libere, unde improvizația “să poată respira”.

Alături de el se vor afla Sorin Romanescu, Ghitarist improvizator și actualmente unul din marile nume ale scenei de jazz românești, Aram Shelton (SUA) – improvizator, compozitor, saxofonist și artist electronic cu rădăcini în scenele creative din Chicago și San Francisco Bay Area care aduce cu el rafinamentul free-jazz-ului american, Gabi Matei, baterist de mare forță și muzicalitate, foarte prezent pe scena de jazz europeană și basistul Ionuț Deliu, cunoscut pentru colaborările sale cu diverși artiști jazz și pop.
