Az Álompolgárok 2021-ben, Újvidéken, a Művészeti Akadémia hallgatóiból alakult vajdasági magyar alternatív és indie rockzenekar, amelynek jelenlegi bázisa Szabadka. A nyolcfős formáció a regionális zenei szcéna egyik legegyedibb és legkarakteresebb színfoltja: sajátos művészi arculatát az irodalom, a színházi jelenlét és a nyers rockzene szerves ötvözésére építette.

A zenekar művészi profiljának meghatározó eleme Sziveri János megzenésített verseinek megszólaltatása és népszerűsítése, valamint a vajdasági magyar rockzenei hagyományok és a ’70-es, ’80-as évek ex-Yu rockhangulatának továbbéltetése modern, lendületes és energiával teli formában. A dalszerzés során kiemelt figyelmet fordítanak arra, hogy a költői szövegek megőrizzék eredeti mélységüket, miközben a dinamikus hangszerelés révén a mai közönség számára is közvetlenül megszólíthatóvá és átélhetővé válnak.

Sajátos hangzásvilágukban a színházi és irodalmi kávéházak atmoszférája keveredik a nyers akusztikus és elektromos rock hangzásával. A klasszikus rockzenei alapot adó gitárok, basszusgitár és dob mellett a cselló és a zongora finomabb tónusai, valamint a kétszólamú női ének teszik teljessé a hangzást, sokrétű, mégis egységes zenei szövetet teremtve.

A színpadon a zenekar nem pusztán egymást követő dalokat ad elő, hanem dramaturgiai ívre épülő, egységes koncertélményt teremt, amelyben a lírai pillanatok és a katartikus rockzenei kitörések egymást erősítve alakítják a produkció különleges atmoszféráját.

A zenekar tagjai: Dedovity Tomity Dina (ének), Hodik Annabella (ének), Ágyas Ádám (zongora), Ábrahám Máté (cselló), Tóth Dániel (szólógitár), Varga Benjámin (ritmusgitár), Dudás Dániel (basszusgitár) és Kőműves Csaba Bence (dob).

The Álompolgárok are a Hungarian alternative and indie rock band from Vojvodina, formed in 2021 in Novi Sad by students of the Academy of Arts and currently based in Subotica. The eight-member ensemble is one of the most distinctive and original acts on the regional music scene, having built its unique artistic identity on an organic fusion of literature, theatrical presence, and raw rock music.

A defining element of the band’s artistic profile is the performance and promotion of poems by János Sziveri set to music, alongside their commitment to carrying forward the traditions of Hungarian rock music in Vojvodina and the atmosphere of 1970s and 1980s ex-Yugoslav rock in a modern, dynamic, and energetic form. In their songwriting, they pay particular attention to preserving the original depth of the poetic texts while using dynamic arrangements to make them immediate, accessible, and engaging for contemporary audiences.

Their distinctive sound blends the atmosphere of theatrical and literary cafés with raw acoustic and electric rock. The guitars, bass, and drums that form the classic rock foundation are complemented by the subtler tones of cello and piano, as well as two-part female vocals, creating a rich yet cohesive musical texture.

On stage, the band does not simply perform a succession of songs but creates a unified concert experience built around a dramatic arc, in which lyrical moments and cathartic rock outbursts reinforce one another, shaping the production’s distinctive atmosphere.

The members of the band are Dedovity Tomity Dina (vocals), Hodik Annabella (vocals), Ágyas Ádám (piano), Ábrahám Máté (cello), Tóth Dániel (lead guitar), Varga Benjámin (rhythm guitar), Dudás Dániel (bass guitar), and Kőműves Csaba Bence (drums).
