The Romanian Society of Apitherapy, Phytotherapy and Aromatherapy is pleased to invite doctors of all specialties (including veterinarians), researchers, pharmacists, beekeepers, biologists, biochemists, farmers , pupils and students from fields related to medicine, biology, agriculture, ecology and life sciences, to the 4th National Congress with international participation dedicated to integrative medicine and the responsible use of biological resources.
The event will take place between May 29–31, 2026 at the „Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu and will include scientific sessions, a specialized exhibition, practical workshops and related activities .
Congress objectives
The congress aims to create an academic and professional framework for:
• presenting and discussing current research results in apitherapy, phytotherapy and aromatherapy;
• promoting integrative medicine based on scientific evidence ;
• stimulating collaboration and interdisciplinary dialogue between specialists in the medical, biological, pharmaceutical and agricultural fields;
• supporting continuing education and training for professionals, students and young researchers.
Scientific program
The scientific program of the congress is rigorously structured and will bring together prestigious academic and professional personalities from Romania and abroad, with clinical, university and research experience.
During the three days , plenary presentations, oral communications, round tables and debate sessions will take place , addressing current topics related to the use of bee products, plant extracts and volatile oils in prevention, therapeutic support and medical recovery , both in human and veterinary medicine.
Practical workshops
The practical workshops are designed as interactive sessions, with direct applicability and offer participants the opportunity to:
• understands quality criteria and evaluation of beekeeping and vegetable raw materials ;
• learn correct methods of preparing and using simple api-phyto-aroma-therapeutic products ;
• discuss safety issues , dosage, indications and contraindications ;
• analyze case studies and examples from professional practice.
These activities are dedicated to specialists but also to students and pupils , constituting an important educational element of the congress.
Specialty Expo
The Expo area will bring together the most representative companies in Romania in the fields of apitherapy , phytotherapy and aromatherapy .
Participants will have direct access to beekeeping products, phytotherapeutic preparations, volatile oils, equipment, innovative solutions , as well as information provided by producers and specialists. The Expo is designed as a space for professional dialogue, exchange of experience and initiation of collaborations .
Complementary activities
The congress program also includes:
• The 2026 Photo Contest is dedicated to nature, bees and health;
• Thematic excursion (Săliște – Transalpina area) focused on the relationship between ecosystems, beekeeping and human health.
